Night turns to day and evolves

Again, into the night.

Life’s routines revolve

in this theater of darkness and light.

Over and over

Again and again

Eat, sleep, endeavor

Day out and day in.

Until…things once enjoyed and treasured

Are empty of their former pleasures

And leave a longing for something more

To fill up your hollow core.
